Spoilers ahead. This page is up to date to the end of episode 4, which aired on Friday 9 October. Episode 5 is on Thursday 15 October at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
The Celebrity Traitors returned on Thursday 1 October with 21 famous faces at Ardross Castle, playing for up to £100,000 for charity (BBC Media Centre). Almost nine million people watched the launch live (BBC News).
Who are the Traitors?
Claudia chose Richard E Grant and Maya Jama as Traitors in the launch episode (BBC News), and they recruited James Acaster in episode 2 (Hello). After Richard was banished, Hannah Fry was recruited to join Maya and James in the turret (Stylist).
That leaves three Traitors still in the game: Maya Jama, James Acaster and Hannah Fry.
Who has left so far?
| Celebrity | How they left | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Amol Rajan | Murdered | Faithful |
| Richard E Grant | Banished | Traitor |
| Myha'la | Banished, episode 3 | Faithful |
| Bella Ramsey | Murdered, episode 4 | Faithful |
| Julie Hesmondhalgh | Banished, episode 4 | Faithful |
Richard was the first to be banished after receiving 18 votes at the first round table (Hello). Julie went from most trusted to banished in a matter of days (Radio Times).
Who's still in the castle?
Sixteen celebrities remain: James Acaster, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Hannah Fry, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney (Stylist).
Who will win?
After episode 4, Michael Sheen is the bookmakers' favourite at 9/4, ahead of James Acaster at 4/1 and Maya Jama at 13/2 (South Wales Argus). Odds move fast in this show and are no guarantee of anything.
Our view: Michael Sheen is the "big dog" every Faithful will eventually want gone, and that rarely ends well in this castle. The Traitors are in a strong spot because neither James nor Maya has drawn much suspicion yet. If they keep their nerve, a Traitor win like Alan Carr's in series one looks very possible. Among the Faithful, keep an eye on Sharon Rooney, who viewers have tipped as a dark horse (AOL).
